How Do I Know If I’m a Candidate for Dental Implants?

If you want a solution for your missing teeth that will restore your smile while protecting your long-term health, dental implants could be the right choice for you. In some cases, patients who are good candidates for dental implants require one or more supplemental procedures to fully prepare for the dental implant process. We offer several of these procedures at our office, including bone grafts and ridge augmentation.

How Long Does the Dental Implant Process Take?

The dental implant process consists of five easy steps over the course of about three to six months. You’ll start by scheduling a consultation with Dr. Yazar. He’ll examine your oral health and decide if you need any supplemental procedures to get your smile ready for implant surgery.

Following implant placement surgery, it will take some time for the bones in your jaw to develop a secure attachment to the implant fixture that holds your implant firmly in place. This process is called osseointegration and it’s an essential part of the dental implant process.

Once the implant fixture is fully integrated with your jawbone, Dr. Yazar will attach your natural-looking porcelain crown. Now you’ll be ready to show off your new smile to friends and family.
